I arrived from Suriname close to 1 in the morning, and the card machine wasn't working. I had only a limited amount of euros in cash because I'd just arrived, and offered to pay the rest the next day. Instead, he wanted me to go out at midnight to find an ATM. I've been traveling around South America for the last few months and have never had anyone behave like that. It felt extremely inhospitable. I went to another hotel and paid a lot more, but I'm glad I didn't give this place my business.

The location isn't great for walking, and I wouldn't stay here again. The first room was damp, dirty, smelly, and had a major water leak. The second room was only a little better, at least without the leak. Be careful when the woman downstairs gives you change. She got it wrong twice, both times in her favor.
