Hotel Actuel Chambéry Centre

Laurine and Alexia, we had another really enjoyable stay at Hotel Actuel! Our visiting student group felt very welcome, and your staff were accommodating with the early starts. Thanks again, and we look forward to booking with you next year. Merci Beaucoup!

I arrived late at night with no real option except to find somewhere to stay. Most of the staff speak English, and the ones who don’t use Google Translate to communicate, which worked well. It was inexpensive and included breakfast, which was very good. The night was quiet and I slept well. I’d recommend this hotel.

It’s a good value, small hotel just outside the station. The room was clean, nicely refurbished, and big enough, with a surprisingly spacious bathroom for a place this size. Breakfast is available for 12,50 euros.

We needed a place to sleep after train strikes messed up our plans, and this was a basic hotel. The location works well for the station, though there isn’t much else nearby. The photos made the rooms look much nicer than they were. The bed and pillows were quite firm, and the shower was tiny, enclosed by a curtain all the way around. When I saw the bathroom, I understood why there weren’t photos of it on the website. The hotel seemed a bit tired and dirty to me. I suppose you get what you pay for. We don’t usually stay in three-star hotels, so perhaps it’s below the standard we’re used to. We won’t do it again.
