Brit Hotel Chambery

We had a very pleasant stopover here on the way to our ski holiday, and I’ll definitely use it again next year. The secure car park and location were excellent, and breakfast was good value. The rooms were good, the beds very comfy, and I slept really well. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The room was basic but absolutely fine for the price. Booking direct was considerably cheaper than the usual booking sites. It was all clean, the bed was comfortable, parking was secure, and access from the main road through Chambery was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d booked dinner elsewhere, and weren’t sure whether the hotel restaurant would be open on Friday, though I’m sure it would have been nice. Recommended.

We left smelling like we’d spent the night in a bar. Although our room was non-smoking, people nearby were smoking in the hallway and just outside our windows, and the smell was there from arrival until we left. I also had little bites on me, so I’d look into whether bed bugs might be an issue here. My sheets were stained, and my husband slept badly. We had an eight-hour drive ahead, and I was very unhappy with the stay.

A handy stop when you’re passing through, with reasonable prices and free private parking. The room was small and had a strange smell, but otherwise it was fine.
