Odalys Résidence L’Ours Blanc

The room itself was a miserable place to sleep. My fiancée and I were put in a tiny room with a bunk bed, and there was barely space to move. We were travelling as four people, with another engaged couple, and the room felt more like a brothel than a hotel. It was filthy when we arrived, and we had to buy glasses because none were provided. We even had to clean the floors and vacuum, which should have been the hotel's job. For the price, I can't understand how anyone could expect guests to sleep in such a barn. The bedding was just as bad: smelly blankets instead of quilts, no duvet covers, and the receptionist gave us one 8x sheet. There was no internet either. We tried to explain everything after we arrived, but after taking our money the reception closed and stayed shut until the day we left. The young receptionist was also hard to deal with, chewing gum and unable to express herself clearly. We came to France to ski and finally get some rest, since everyday life leaves us no time for that. Instead, I came away deeply disappointed. We booked one hotel and got something completely different. I won't go back.

The apartment could use better insulated windows. They let in the cold, late-night drinking noise until 2 am, and vehicles or delivery trucks starting up at 6 am. Unloading luggage is awkward too, since there isn't parking nearby. Avoid a unit facing the square. The setting is handy for the slopes and shops, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The apartment itself was decent. The lobby looked dreary, with a broken bed, and the ski room was disgusting.

Right by the slopes and ski school, the apartment is in a really handy spot. There's a functional ski locker, plus a small supermarket across from a doctor's surgery.

The shared areas are mostly practical, especially the ski room, even though the reception hall is very worn out. There's a billiard table sitting there that can't be used and seems to be only for the photos. The apartments themselves were clean, which is the main thing, and the rooms were decent. The prices felt very fair. I'm not sure I'd return, but I did get what I paid for.
