The hosts really care about their guests and do everything they can to make the stay lovely. The château is out in the countryside, with beautiful, spacious rooms and updated ensuite bathrooms. It’s the best bed and breakfast I’ve ever stayed in. What more could you ask for?

The castle feels wonderfully tranquil, and spending two nights there was a lovely experience. Breakfast was included. I’d highly recommend trying a stay here.

There are lovely walks in the nearby forests, and you can also explore the old medieval village, which was originally built in a circle around a central square. A recently restored half-timbered house with corbelled upper floors is still there, along with the chapel near the château, restored a few years ago. The château sits on the edge of a small village in the Monts du Lyonnais, in a bucolic setting, and offers exceptional bed and breakfast accommodation. The Plaine du Forez is close by, making this a place to consider if you want to visit the beautiful region. Take time to relax over breakfast in this exceptional guesthouse, with its incredible rooms and warm welcome. If you visit in winter, you may also get to see the “Chambost Nativity Scene” in the church, said to be one of the largest in France.
