The bedbugs were the last straw. We saw one, hoped it might have come in from outside, then found another the next day. When I reported it to Alain, he said openly that we were lying, asked for more proof, and said nobody else had complained. I checked the reviews and found that other customers had raised bedbug concerns, so I told Alain to look at them. We bought spray and were leaving the following day anyway. The place was in bad shape from the start. The trash was full, with an empty juice bottle beside it, and there was a dead fly on the floor. The toilet wasn’t clean, and a dirty wiper sat by the sofa, which looked older than my grandma. Don’t expect wifi, towels, or soap. Welcome to Chamonix, I guess.

We paid extra for bedsheets, then were told just hours before check in that they wouldn’t provide them. The sofa bed was filthy and wrecked, and we could feel the springs in the other bed. Nobody slept well. The room was dusty and dirty, and my friend with asthma couldn’t breathe, so we moved to another accommodation. They offered no help when we complained. I’d give this place zero if I could. Stay away, it’s a scam.

We paid over 300 a night and ended up sleeping on the floor after the pullout bed collapsed. The couch looked like it had been picked from the garbage, and it was dirty and ripped. I expected a clean, new IKEA-like room, but the place didn’t look like the pictures.

We stayed four nights in building number 90. The property has three buildings, and after reading the reviews we worried we’d been scammed. We booked through the official Chamonix website and checked with them, and they assured us it was verified. Happy rentals manages the place and sent the necessary information. We picked up the keys at their office on check in day, and the customer service was all right. The apartment was a bit small but had all the facilities and was a good place to stay. The one issue was the WIFI. We contacted Happy rentals, but they didn’t fix it.
