Campanile Laval Nord

It’s a bit out of the way, so thank goodness for GPS. The room was excellent for the price, and tea and coffee facilities were included. The young staff working during my stay were cheerful and friendly. Breakfast had a pretty wide choice, including a cooked option if that’s what you like.

I’ve stayed here twice and the standards have stayed good. The location is quiet, the bed is good, and it’s easy to reach the centre of Laval. Service and breakfast were excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the rooms were cleaned daily. There’s pression at the bar, with beer at reasonable prices, plus free parking. I’ll be back on my way through to the south of France.

The room was clean, though very bare bones: no microwave, fridge, or air conditioning, and the sofa bed wasn’t comfortable. The washroom and shower were great, and the hotel itself felt clean and modern. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the bar stayed open until 11. It was quiet over the long weekend despite all the groups of young people staying there. My main frustration was the TV. I travel a lot and like to connect my laptop or Chromecast, but the wall mount blocks the HDMI input.

The reception staff gave good service, and I’d stay here again. The place was nice and clean, but the food left me dissatisfied. It was edible, but I hadn’t stayed at a hotel before that served store-bought meals in glass jars. Paying €16 for something that would have cost €5 at the supermarket felt ridiculous.
