La Jumelière

This is a great spot for an evening event, with guesthouse rooms on site and hotels nearby. Philippe's food from the stalls was superb, and the service was exceptional. It works well for daytime events too and has all the equipment needed. Thank you, Philippe and Florence, for putting together such an unforgettable evening.

Once you arrive, it’s a very relaxing place, despite being right by an industrial zone and a highway. We were there as guests at a family event over the weekend, and the venue seems well suited to gatherings of 60-70 people. It’s a beautiful farmhouse with a pleasant heated reception room and comfortable chairs, plus a lovely terrace and a very large garden. There’s a beautiful kitchen with a cold room, two bathrooms, a urinal area, and adequate parking. Those who stayed were happy with the bedrooms and bathrooms. The main drawback was the soundproofing: the bedrooms are directly above the venue, so early-night guests had trouble falling asleep.

My team and I stayed the night while attending a reception near La Jumelière. We were given a very warm, smiling welcome. The room was spotless, the bedding comfortable, and even though the night was short, I slept better than I had in a long time. Breakfast was generous too. We look forward to seeing you again, and wish you every success under the new management. Sincerely, Mr. Tesson.

The bedrooms are nice, but I wouldn’t recommend the cottage. It’s hard to find, looks nothing like the photo, and sits in the middle of an industrial park, beside a four-lane highway and near a roundabout. Breakfast for two was served in a huge, rather unwelcoming room, with bland, mass-produced food.
