We stayed in a premium room and had a great view of the lake. The water was 21 °C, so swimming was still enjoyable in late September. Service was very friendly.

Breakfast was superb, and the hotel itself was clean, well run, and had a great room and facilities. The restaurant seems to be a separate business. It's pricey, but if you're after a bit of a poncy meal with all the trimmings, excellent service, and a great location, you won't be disappointed. The 'beach' was dreadful, though. Forget it: tatty, not private, and not really a beach. More like Tooting lido on the first hot Saturday in June, only muddy.

The lake view is magnificent. Rooms are large, though a little dated, and breakfast was adequate. We were welcomed promptly and very warmly.
