I wouldn't recommend booking this aparthotel. The bathroom and the rest of the flat were dirty, and the kitchen was too grimy to use. It was also noisy even at 10 PM, and we could hear people talking in the neighboring flat. The manager wouldn't let me shorten my stay, even if I paid a fee. That policy seemed very strange. If you want a quiet night's sleep in Chartres, I'd look elsewhere.

I tried calling for information nine times between 5:30 and 6:00 PM, but nobody answered. The address on Maps is wrong, and the keys have to be collected from the train station, which means a 30-minute round trip, then taken back there afterward. The tables are so battered they might as well be part of the decor, and the bench feels unsafe to sit on. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place.
We had a good stay, and the apartment works really well for families. It's also handy for exploring Chartres on foot, since everything is walkable. Inside, it's functional and well equipped, with an oven, stovetop, plenty of dishes, and Wi-Fi and TV that both work well. There are some drawbacks: there's no reception, so you need to plan for picking up the keys at a hotel 15 minutes away on foot. There's no parking, though an expensive underground garage is nearby. The finishes are low quality, there's no elevator, and the shower is tiny.
The apartment is spacious and well laid out, with two bathrooms, and it's in a good location. But there's no Wi-Fi, and the stairwell and hallway have no lights. That's a tripping hazard, especially when you're carrying luggage or traveling with children.
The apartment felt unfinished, and the directions weren't clear. There was nobody at reception to hand over the keys, so getting to Hotel Poeme to collect them and check in was difficult. The utensils were very worn, and even the bedspread looked heavily used. The stairs were under construction too. There's a lot that needs improving.
