Novotel Poitiers Site du Futuroscope

We had plenty of space in our clean, comfortable room, and it felt luxurious. We were there as two people with a dog, which you can add yourself when booking through the Novotel website. The Tesla Supercharger on-site was also really convenient.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with lots of tasty choices. Even with over 200 people eating, things moved smoothly and the buffet was always replenished. Our family room worked perfectly for all four of us, and it’s one reason we like Novotel: even with teenagers, we can all stay together instead of paying for separate rooms. It also suits us when we travel with our pet. For a visit to the theme park, this was a great stay. The charging setup could be better, though. More stations for hybrid cars, including ones where you can plug in your own charger like at Futuroscope, would help. Only one station supported the charger we needed, and it was occupied overnight, so I charged at the park instead. That was okay.

We only stayed one night while travelling to Spain. The hotel is right by the highway, and also close to Futuroscope and supermarkets. Staff were very attentive, and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast. The variety was good, but the scrambled eggs seemed to be a powdered synthetic mix to me. I’d rather they weren’t served if that's what the budget allows. Otherwise, I can recommend the hotel.

It was handy being able to walk to Futuroscope, and the pool was a nice extra. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It would be useful to have water available for filling bottles without having to ask at the bar.
