The evening meal was good value, the room was spacious, and the staff were friendly. I'd come back.

There’s a great restaurant, La Bucherie, a short walk away, plus plenty of shops for travel supplies. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with lovely vintage travel posters, and the price is a good deal. Still, we hadn’t realized there’d be no private toilet or shower, or that towels weren’t included. The shower was cold and the toilets weren’t always clean. Next time I’d choose a regular hotel.

After driving across France from the UK on my way to Portugal, I arrived to find nobody at reception for ages, even though I’d booked online. I tried the reception phone, and was told the manager wouldn’t come out to see me. They didn’t seem to like that I spoke English and very little French. I waited outside for 20 minutes, then another customer arrived and the receptionist finally came out. She was rude and unprofessional. Two drunk people there also made noise late into the night. I’ll never stay here again.

The room was freezing, and even sleeping in lots of clothes, I got sick. There was only a thin, inadequate duvet, and they didn’t provide towels or anything. Nobody at the desk was available to help. They claim to have a 24-hour reception, but staff leave at 22:00. The doorbell goes to a call center, and nobody answered for half an hour. Once I finally got inside, someone from the cleaning team helped me get my room, thanks to him. There’s plenty of budget hotels nearby, so I wouldn’t come here again.
