Breakfast in the garden was a lovely start to the day, with bakery bread, juice, coffee, yoghurt, local cheeses, marmalades, and more. Laura and Emeric, you’ve created something amazing, and we’re definitely coming back! The rooms have been renovated with care and respect for the history of this fantastic house. Thoughtful details made us feel at home. The building stands out in the rolling countryside, with a lush garden and shimmering pool.

We booked the whole house for a family get-together, and it was worth every cent. You could feel the care put into every bit of the decor as soon as we arrived. Laura was so welcoming and accommodating. It’s a great place for families with babies or kids.

The local, organic food was excellent, and there were lots of fun things to do nearby. We had a perfect stay, thanks in no small part to the hosts’ warmth and kindness. The place is so calm and quiet, and the decoration shows great taste. Thank you again for everything, Laura and Emeric!

We chose southern Burgundy this year after often driving past it in favour of places farther south in France, and we’re really glad we did. Tomette Singulière was a fantastic place to spend time. We stayed in the gîte, which was clean, stylish, and comfortable, with a lovely terrace and access to the pool, gardens, and petanque area. The poolside was relaxing, the location was great, and there were lovely views over wooded hillsides. Birds were busy all around, including black redstarts, hoopoes, and woodpeckers. The peaceful village is a short drive from Cluny, a relaxed town that’s lovely to wander around and has plenty of restaurants. I recommend walking up the Tour des Fromages for its excellent views over town. The countryside to the west is lovely and very quiet, too. Laura and Emeric are fantastic hosts. They give you space, but are always on hand and lovely to spend time with. One highlight for all of us was Emeric showing us how to play petanque properly and treating us to pastis as we played. We also really enjoyed having dinner with Laura and Emeric and another family staying in the chambre d'hôte, so I’d recommend arranging that. Communication before we arrived was excellent.
