Auberge Normande is a great place for a short stop, especially if you want a memorable meal. The owner is a Maitre Restaurateur and a terrific chef, and the welcome was courteous and professional. The rooms upstairs are modern, well equipped, and very clean. It’s more a restaurant with rooms above than a hotel, so there’s no lobby or hall, but the quality of the restaurant more than makes up for that. Breakfast was copious and delicious. Highly recommended.

Christian cooked every dish perfectly and with care. I was delighted to introduce my Italian wife to traditional French cooking. Our host was generous, and his restaurant experience showed in all the little details. It was a fantastic dinner, and we hope to come back soon.

The hosts were particularly kind, and I’d definitely stop here again on my next business trip to the area. I stayed one night and tried both the room and restaurant. The room was very comfortable, exceeding many of the standards I’d expected for the price. Dinner was a great experience too, with well presented and served food, and a gastronomic feel to it.

We didn’t know it was open, had no booking, and hadn’t been given a recommendation, but the chef welcomed us. The place was open and full, yet they still put a table together for us. The food was awesome, and the desserts were to die for. Best steak I’ve had in France, Chateaubriand. We’ll be back.
