Le Clos Gabrielle

We only had one night here, and I wish we’d stayed longer. Cyril was so friendly and welcoming. Our room looked out over the pool, had lovely decor, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The breakfast made it worth getting up for, with plenty of tasty local and homemade food. I also loved taking a refreshing swim under the moonlight. Thank you, Cyril and Antoine. Maybe we’ll be back next year.

After all the driving we’d done around France, the cold-water swim left my back feeling ten years younger. The beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, and the rooms, colors, themes, and decorations were beautiful. Le Clos Gabrielle was a wonderful change of pace on our trip. We’d arrived from Canada the week before and had been enjoying the French winter as we traveled around. We chose it after reading the great reviews and were excited to find a pool and jacuzzi, since we both usually enjoy cold-water swimming at home. Cyril got in touch right after we booked to ask when we’d arrive, so the room could be warm and ready for us. Antoine gave us a warm welcome and let us use the pool even though winter swimming was unusual for guests. He started the jacuzzi so we could warm up afterward. Two lovely, soft, talkative cats kept us company outside and seemed surprised to see people swimming. They even made breakfast for my mother, who lives locally but was traveling with us and wasn’t staying in one of their rooms. The hosts were warm and attentive to the details, and they travel to find fresh breakfast food. The croissants and bread were the best I’ve ever had. We can’t recommend this place enough, and would choose it over anywhere else in the region.

Cyril was attentive from the moment I made the reservation. He pointed me to a great restaurant and even put together a snack for my journey when I checked out. The room at Le Clos Gabrielle was cozy, beautifully decorated, and had a super comfortable bed. Great service and a lovely stay, thanks!

Cyril and Antoine are wonderful hosts. The restored house is beautiful, and our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. We had a delicious table d’hote dinner and an excellent breakfast, and even managed a lovely swim in the pool.
