The suite was warm and comfortable, with a lovely thick duvet and big, soft pillows. We had plenty of space, all for the same price as a decidedly pokey Relais further south. The B&B is in a very elegant part of a beautiful old town, in a historic property. Parking was easy, and breakfast was fresh and delicious. We loved it and will be back.

Tucked into an old courtyard, this beautiful building feels spacious, quiet and welcoming. Inside, there’s antique furniture, wall decorations, chandeliers and oil and watercolor paintings, all wonderfully kept. The caretaker gave us a warm welcome. A lovely choice for a romantic getaway.

Right in the town centre, this elegant historic townhouse has loads of character and charm, yet nights are wonderfully peaceful. The host was warm and welcoming, and breakfast was superb. I can’t wait to find a reason to stay again.

There’s room to spread out here, from the bedrooms and dining table to the terrace and lovely sitting room, where I could compose a masterpiece. Breakfast was nice, with fresh baguettes and croissants and aromatic, strong French pressed coffee. Speaking French or having local knowledge is a prerequisite for really enjoying the experience. Au revior mon amies.
