The place feels depressing, and it’s split across two buildings. One seems to house long-term guests, with children playing in the parking lot, while the other is for short stays. It’s very old and isolated. After 7 pm there are no restaurants, supermarkets, or gas stations available. The rooms are spacious, but the beds are tiny. The bathrooms are okay, though I wore sandals in the shower. They offer breakfast, but I wouldn’t eat there because the place didn’t seem clean.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and the coffee machine was the best part. We came by car for two nights to see Paris and Disneyland, and only needed somewhere to sleep and shower. The room was small but workable, and the bed and bathroom had been cleaned. Still, the room and whole floor smelled strongly of smoke despite our non-smoking room, and the carpet looked very dirty. The bathroom was old and needed renovation. Smoke from people on the floor set off the fire alarm several times, including in the middle of the night. The 6 € breakfast was a joke: baguette, croissant, jam, Nutella, butter and yogurt, nothing else. The hotel is apart from everything, and the walk to the train station is long, so we parked there instead. We knew the location in advance, but at 65 € a night for a double room, it felt expensive for what you get. We wouldn’t come back.

I live here at the moment, with my 15-day-old baby and my six-year-old daughter. They sleep on a miserable rug, and there’s a bad smell in the bedroom. The bathtub is uncomfortable, there’s no kitchen to cook in, and the stove is dirty and doesn’t work. The television is awful and takes up too much space, and there’s an alarm. It’s disgusting and dirty, with no security or hygiene. We don’t speak the language, and I don’t know how to call 115 to get out of here.

We stayed here a year ago, and the only good thing was that our room was generally clean. The location is hard to manage without a car, and it wasn’t clear whether the hotel was also being used to house asylum seekers. It certainly seemed possible. The breakfast buffet was a bad joke, the hallway was filthy, and the place constantly smelled of smoke. The fire alarm went off every night. At checkout they tried to charge us the full amount again, even though we showed the receipt proving we’d paid. We’d never stay here again and can’t recommend it.

The reception staff were very good, but the shared areas are run-down. It’s a motel-style building used both as a three-star hotel and a migrant shelter.
