Le Clos Mony

I stayed two nights in April, and Patricia was a very welcoming host. Breakfast was delicious, and since the weather was nice, it was set up in the veranda. She knows the area well and is easy to talk to. She suggested a couple of dinner spots in Chenonceaux and gave me tips for one of them. She also helped me find somewhere to stay in Amboise after my second night. She didn’t know anyone there directly, but her search led me to another great bed and breakfast. And there was wifi, which not all bed and breakfasts have. I contacted Patricia as directed on the Cybevasion website. Coming from the US, I didn’t have an acceptable payment method, so she penciled in my reservation and asked me to get in touch closer to the arrival date. I confirmed later, she acknowledged the booking, and I paid in cash, in Euros, of course. One issue: the toilet began losing pressure and eventually wouldn’t flush. Luckily another room was open, and Patricia let me use its toilet. I’m also not sure how you’d make a reservation if you don’t speak French. Her guest book had visitors from all over the world, though, so it can be done. I took the train to Chenonceaux, which was fairly straightforward. Transport out of town is limited, so I reserved a taxi to Amboise through the town’s Office of Tourism. It cost 30 Euros. I don’t regret staying here and would return if I’m in the area again.
