The gardens were lovely and quiet, with superb views over the Vienne from the main house. I only spent one night in the gîte, but it was perfect: everything was provided, and the beds were comfortable. It was clean and airy too. I didn’t get to try the swimming pool, so maybe next time!

Markus was very welcoming, and his cooking was excellent. La Galippe is also conveniently close to the center of Chinon. I spent two weeks there on business and was delighted with the stay. The house sits on a hillside with stunning views of the Vienne River and surrounding greenery, and it’s wonderfully peaceful. I’d definitely come back for a holiday.

The view of the infinity pool and the Vienne River is magnificent, and the rooms are very comfortable. We had an excellent stay at La Galippe. A big thank you to Markus for his hospitality and cooking. Everything was perfect!

Markus gave us a warm, friendly welcome and took great care of us throughout our stay. The rooms and shared spaces were functional, pleasant and perfectly equipped. The infinity pool overlooks the Vienne River, with a breathtaking view. Such a beautiful, magical place. We stayed six days and five nights, had an excellent time, and will be very happy to return.
