Breakfast was excellent, apart from the coffee. Dinner was the weak spot: the food came with lots of colorful dots and decorations, but neither of our two entrées nor the two plats tasted good. Dessert, a variation on an éclair, was nice. We stayed in a “suite” with ceilings around 12-13 ft, plus an attractive corner room with two extra beds that we didn’t use. We walked to the Cher and up to various high points behind the chateau. The pool looked like a great option for summer. If we stayed again, we might look into local restaurants.

The rooms were stunning, and the staff were so warm and helpful. They went out of their way to help us when we had car trouble. We’ll definitely be back.

The breakfast was lovely, especially the orange juice, and the WiFi worked very well everywhere. This place is unusual in the best way, with some remarkable rooms, including one in a cave. We also liked having a little room for our two kids right beside ours. Separate, but close, which worked really well for a family.

We had a wonderful time at Chateau De Chissay, a magical medieval castle with very friendly staff. The restaurant was closed on the day we visited, so we didn’t get to try it. I highly recommend the hotel.

The restaurant was nearly Michelin level, with superb food and presentation, and excellent wines. Service was exceptional. The motel was excellent too.
