Milly, the English woman at reception, was outstanding and the service was great. Looking forward to seeing her on our next stay.

We stayed three nights and it worked perfectly for that length of time, though I think a longer holiday would feel cramped in such a small room. There was a good bed, a desk and chair, and charging points right above the worktop. The room was very clean, with heating or air conditioning and a shower. It's basic but practical, and better than expected for a short break or business trip. There's no fridge, hairdryer or ironing board. Housekeeping came every day, including weekends, emptied the bin and changed the towels. Be ready for a knock at 9am if you want to sleep in. The reception coffee machine is available around the clock and was a lifesaver for me, since I don't like breakfast. Continental breakfast is served in the morning and is open to the public too, so it gets busy. I don't know whether booking ahead helps get a table. There's also a microwave in reception, presumably for heating food to eat in the breakfast area. A restaurant, shop, petrol station and park are next door. The hotel has an underground car park for €12 a day, and there are about 15 free spaces around the hotel if you can find one, but they're not reserved for guests. Reception staff are helpful and approachable, though there's no one there overnight or at lunchtime. Check-in was meant to be at 3pm, but they let us in at noon, which made a big difference. The stay was very positive and covered what we needed.

UPDATE: My stay got a lot better. I was told they serve breakfast and dinner, and anything needed at night has to be brought in from outside. They replenished my supplies and lent me a hairdryer for the two weeks I'm here. Breakfast is delicious, with fresh pastries, hot eggs, bacon, toast and cereal, a nice range for a small space. The staff have been very helpful, and I appreciate their efforts to make me comfortable. The restaurant across the street has been excellent, and you can take the food back to your room if you want. I've changed my rating to match the improved stay. At first, this was the worst place I'd stayed. The lobby was tiny and dark, with no one around and no front desk, just a kiosk check-in and a code for the front door. The hallway had dirty laundry and carts everywhere, and a fire extinguisher was lying on the floor. The dining area looked permanently closed. There was no hairdryer, dresser, room safe, conditioner, lotion or tissues. There were only two towels, no hand towel or washcloth, and just wall-mounted hand soap and shower shampoo/body wash. Toilet paper came as individual sheets and wasn't well stocked. There weren't enough hangers, so my folded clothes stayed in my suitcase. The bed was rock hard, and the sheets and towels felt rough against my skin. I wouldn't recommend it unless someone really couldn't afford a more expensive place, though I didn't choose it myself, my employer booked it.

The family rooms fit three kids, which is hard to find. It's a good basic hotel and check-in and check-out were easy, though it wasn't especially cheap.

The room was roomy and pleasant, and there’s a garden nearby that’s great for kids. We also liked having a restaurant and supermarket next to the hotel. The only downside was that there’s no lift.
