The room above the restaurant was spotless and comfortable, and the village felt peaceful, with a pool and guests staying for several days. Our hosts kindly let us keep the same room while we were away on a two-day, one-night hike to Mount Canigo. Dinner was creative and a real pleasure, with good wines, right in a village at the foot of the Pyrenees. Breakfast was the letdown: we had to choose sweet or savory ahead of time, and it lacked the kitchen's creativity and the generosity we'd found with other hosts.
