Hi Quentin, Thanks for replying to my review. I couldn't reply directly to your response, so I'm doing it here. I appreciate you reassuring me that the furniture is safe. You didn't address the hygiene problems, though. We found a bar of soap covered in body hair from its previous user, and there were bed bugs in some rooms, which made everyone uncomfortable. The hostel really needs cleaners. I also want to apologize for calling your fajita a burrito. I do like vegetables, but what was in that fajita didn't look like vegetables to me. The main issue was the uncooked rice, which you didn't mention. The fajita was burnt too, so maybe the cooking times got mixed up. Thanks again for taking the time to respond. I appreciate it.

The hostel is around a 30-minute walk from the city centre. Friends who live locally told me the street doesn't have the best safety reputation. I had no problems in daylight, though I can't say how it is in the evening. I also hadn't realized school groups stay here, so children were running through the halls in the evening and at night. That's something to keep in mind, though I understand it's not the hostel's fault. I stayed one night, and it was okay. I arrived very early after an overnight bus, and the staff let me shower, use the kitchen, charge my phone, and sit in the common areas before check-in. I was really grateful. I also had the four-bed dorm room to myself, which was a nice bonus. I'd stay again if I were in the area.

The three-bed ensuite room was quiet, with very clean, comfortable beds. Breakfast had a nice range of bread, chocolate croissants, cheeses, coffee, fruit, and cereal. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. It's a new hostel, about 1 km from the train station and 2.5 km from the old town, which you can reach by tram.

The price seemed fair for what I got. Still, BOOKING should make it clear that a double room comes with one bed, not separate beds. That's awkward if you're sharing with a friend rather than your partner.
