Hotel Le Kennedy - The Originals Relais Hotel

For £85, I got breakfast, parking, and a lovely suite for what I might pay for an ordinary room elsewhere. The hotel looks brand new and was very clean. Great value.

It's only minutes from the motorway, which made the location handy. I booked while we were already on the road, but when we arrived they couldn't find the booking, so the internet must have failed. Reception said they couldn't match the online price because it was different. Fair enough, I agreed to pay 20 euros more. Then they said I couldn't use my loyalty number because I hadn't booked online. I still don't understand why. After about five irritating minutes at reception, we gave in and took the key. The room was very nice and a comfortable temperature. We didn't have breakfast since we hadn't got around to booking it the evening before. Parking was quite tight, but you can use the restaurant behind the parking area, though that option isn't as secure.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and parking outside is free. The in-room tea and coffee were nice to have, and breakfast was decent, especially the great orange juice.

On our way down to southern France, this was a great place to stop. The rooms were clean, with roomy bathrooms and a shower head mounted at a good height for a Dutch person. The little pool is nice for cooling off, just don't expect somewhere to spend the whole day relaxing.
