La Pause Doree

Our host welcomed us warmly and gave us great tips for sightseeing. The house is charming, right in the center of Clermont-Ferrand, with a courtyard and parking. Our room was very spacious, with a king-size bed, comfortable bedding, armchairs and a welcome tray. The bathroom was very large and had plenty of storage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and the breakfasts with local and homemade products were delicious. The rooms were beautiful, the courtyard had a lush garden, and there was parking for two cars. Everything was very clean and comfortable. It's not right in the centre, but the sights are a 10-15 minute walk away. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at La Pause Dorée. Madame Houard looked after us so well. The welcome, clean room and bathroom, comfortable bedding, excellent breakfasts, helpful information about Clermont-Ferrand, quiet but city-centre location, and parking were all fantastic! 👍👍👍👍👍 We found Clermont-Ferrand a lovely city, with lots of charming little streets. The cathedral, churches, fountains, Montferrand district and good restaurants were all highlights. Public transport was convenient, and the locals were very welcoming to tourists. The Michelin Guide 👍 The stadium and its restaurant 👍 And the surrounding area too, with volcanoes, lakes and villages 👍

The homemade breakfast was generous, especially the local treats. That plum jam was so good! After a business day, I could unwind in a really comfortable room. The house has loads of charm, and the host was so kind and welcoming. I'd happily recommend this place.
