Paris hôtel

The rooms are very small, and the beds aren't especially comfortable. With thin walls, it felt like the whole hotel woke up at 6am. Still, the rooms felt very safe, with two doors and a deadlock, which I appreciated as a woman traveling alone. Fine for a night or two, but I wouldn't want to stay a week.

We arrived late, which was fine, but at check-in they unexpectedly asked for a €100 deposit because of the festival. They hadn't mentioned it beforehand, and the receptionist's explanation felt shady. The hygiene was shocking too, with stains on the pillows and mold under the mattress. It was so late that we had to sleep there, but we really didn't want to. At 4am we woke up from the heat and all the noise. We had planned to stay another night, but booked somewhere else right away. This was the worst hotel experience of my life, and I won't return.

The room was tiny and unclean. The location was all right, with public transport close by.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful, so I'd stay again. The elevator was broken on checkout day, which meant hauling everything down five flights of stairs, and there were mosquitoes in the room. Breakfast was good, but overpriced in my opinion. For about the same money, you could get better quality at a neighborhood bakery.
