The rooms were clean and well maintained, and breakfast was delicious and generous. The metro access was easy too. Still, the stay felt disorganized, and when I asked reception or other staff for help, they didn't seem especially helpful or focused on finding solutions. We had no running water for about four hours after checking in. Other guests I spoke with in the elevator said they had gone a whole day without water and couldn't use the toilet or shower. No compensation was offered, not even bottled water for basics like brushing teeth. Offering breakfast would at least have been a thoughtful hospitality gesture. There were other problems around the booking. As an IHG member and employee, I was surprised to be asked for a €500 deposit for three rooms for three nights. I thought it might be normal in Paris, but on my visits to the Kimpton St. Honoré, I was told they had never asked a colleague for such a large deposit. Our reservation said “taxes included,” yet we were charged another €131 city tax, and only learned that at check-in. I'd already emailed the front office several times, including a week before arrival to ask if there was anything else to know. They had offered by email to make up the sofa bed for the 16-year-old traveling with us, and we confirmed, but it wasn't ready when we arrived. Breakfast wasn't included, so we went to the restaurant. I mentioned my employee 50% discount and was sent to reception, where I was directed back to the lady at the restaurant entrance. After being sent back and forth, I gave up and agreed to pay the full amount. They applied the discount at checkout, but the whole process was frustrating.

The bar was truly amazing, with a top-tier atmosphere, drinks, and execution, a great place for a refined evening. The team was professional, welcoming, and clearly cared about guests. The voco Porte de Clichy itself is modern and well maintained, but payment administration caused recurring hassle. On three separate occasions, I had to contact the hotel to get them to release authorization holds that remained on my card long after check-out. Staff helped once I reached them, but a property of this caliber should have a smoother automated billing process. It was a great stay, though I'd keep a close eye on bank statements.

The rooms were functional and good for business, if not exceptional, and the hotel was perfectly clean throughout. I stayed at Voco Paris Porte de Clichy for work from 10-12 December and had a very pleasant time. Staff were extremely friendly, professional, and always ready to help. A nearby metro station gets you to the city center in about 25 minutes. I'd definitely recommend it to business travelers.

The breakfast was a delight, with an irresistible smell each morning, and it ran surprisingly late. I also appreciated the added security: after evening hours, staff manually opened the front door to help keep guests safe. Everything was spotless and professional, and room service cleaned my immaculate room promptly whenever I went out. The staff were kind and attentive throughout. I really enjoyed the stay, and plan to come back soon. Thanks for making it memorable.
