The welcome was a real bright spot. Reception staff were great with check-in and even helped me get the car charging, which was complimentary. Breakfast was very good too, and the upstairs of the duplex felt fresh and nicely styled. The room was mostly as shown online. The bathroom downstairs was the letdown. The shower looked unfinished, and there was black mold at the base of the wall. We spent most of our time upstairs or out, and used that bathroom as briefly as we could. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but I would choose another room next time and inspect it more carefully before settling in.

We stayed in the caravan, which is a caravan rather than a bungalow, and a twin room for our group of five. There were a few ants in the caravan! 😉 The grounds are huge and well kept, with a nice bar and veranda. It's easy to find, there's plenty of parking, check-in was simple, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We found this gem online and couldn't think of anything else that needed improving.

The gypsy caravan I stayed in was stunning, and the whole place felt peaceful and relaxing. I can't wait to bring my wife and stay longer than one evening. I could park my motorcycle right outside the accommodation without any trouble. The woman at check-in really went beyond what I expected. She showed me around the accommodation to make sure I liked it, and I wish I'd asked her name. Check-in was friendly and efficient, the staff were warm, and everywhere was clean and tidy. Great value, too, and biker friendly.

The cabins and gardens are tucked away in a gorgeous private spot near the bridge. You can walk to the historic sites and Cognac producers, and the rooms have Nespresso machines. I'll definitely come back.

The hotel has plenty to enjoy, including an outdoor pool, billiards, event space, and a playground for children. It's also within walking distance of the heart of Cognac, right on the banks of La Charente. My room was quiet and comfortable, and the WiFi was excellent. A really serene place.
