ibis Cognac Centre

The bed was comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was very good. We got what we expect from an Ibis, including a friendly, helpful person at the desk when we arrived. My one complaint is the wall-mounted liquid soap and shampoo dispensers. They're hard to get a decent amount from, and in our room the shower dispenser was so high up that it was almost impossible to use.

The hotel worked well as a base between the places we planned to visit, and the city center is within walking distance. Staff were great and breakfast was good. The elevator was being worked on during our stay, but since we were on the second floor it was only a minor inconvenience.

The room was okay. Martell and Remy are very close, though the walk to the city center felt a bit dark at night.

Walking into the old town was easy, and everything we needed was close by on foot. Free parking was available on the street beside the hotel. The hotel itself was quiet, though I could hear the guest above walking around and using a hair dryer at 05:15. The receptionist who welcomed us on Saturday afternoon was helpful with information about Cognac distillery tours. Breakfast had a good range of choices and was quite sufficient. The en suite toilet was very small, but separate from the shower room. I'd like to visit the town again and would certainly try to stay here.
