Apartments Center Colmar 5

For one night before heading to the next stop on our trip, it worked really well for visiting Colmar. There's free parking in a secure underground lot, too. Our room was small, with a bathroom and kitchenette, but it was clean, seemed to have been redone fairly recently, and had good wifi.

We were put in a small, dingy apartment that didn't match the photos, which we thought showed the room we'd booked. The listings should be separate because it's not clear what you're getting. The place smelled of cigarette smoke, especially the main bedroom, so all four of us ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the kitchen/lounge. There were plenty of other problems. The shower was broken and hanging off the wall, and there was no hot water, so we couldn't wash. Old, empty shampoo bottles were left in the shower. In the shower room, an electric heater was hanging off the wall, a major safety issue, and an electrical wire was sticking out of the wall. We only got two towels for four people. They were tiny and worn out, not even big enough to cover my 3-year-old. The bedding was old and thin, and in the middle of December there were no extra towels or bedding. Cupboards were broken, the fridge-freezer was dirty, and there wasn't enough cutlery for four, so we had to share. Neighbours played music in the early hours. As soon as we said we weren't happy, the owner stopped responding, and we haven't heard from him since. Avoid it.

The apartment was old and hadn't been cleaned properly, from what I saw, including the kitchen. The bathroom was just as bad: hot water ran out while showering, and water from the bathtub spilled onto the toilet floor because of its age. The toilet door wouldn't shut or lock either. I wouldn't recommend this place. If I could give it one star ⭐, I would.

The shower drain was clogged, so after about 2 minutes the tub would overflow. Furniture was broken and the place was untidy. It's outdated and awful, and shouldn't have been on booking .com.
