We canceled our Booking.com reservation for family reasons after its cancellation page said the refund would come with fees deducted. Just 15 minutes later, an email said we’d been charged the full amount for both days. Neither the hotel owners nor Booking.com came up with a solution. Booking.com said the hotel wouldn’t reopen the reservation or refund us. We lost our money and our vacation, and neither party showed any understanding. Think twice before booking here, because if an emergency comes up, you may end up paying for a trip you never took.

It’s right in the city centre, and very clean and quiet despite being in a pedestrian area. There’s a bus from the train station that lets you off very close by.

The host was attentive, and we had a good stay. Everything felt clean and centrally located, with new furniture and thoughtful details throughout. The apartment had an iron, washing machine, clothes hanger, full kitchenware, coffee machine and fridge. Carrefour is the nearest supermarket, about 500 metres away on foot. There’s a restaurant downstairs, plus a shopping street and patisserie along a side street. You can take the key from the lockbox and come and go as you like. Pull firmly on both sides of the box to open it. One snag: the owner leaves a bike by the door, making it hard to get into the apartment. The pillows were also very soft and thin.
