A small garden adds to the charm of this place. It's fairly close to the city center, and being below ground means it doesn't get hot in summer.

Colmar is easy to visit from here, and there is street parking nearby. Inside, though, there were a few drawbacks: morning light came through because the basement tavern has no shutters or blinds, and the large bathroom had a slight smell from the sewage pump. I found the shower water lukewarm, though that's subjective, and the towels were small.

The host was very nice, and the old town was no more than a 10-minute walk away. Our basement suite had two comfortable 160cm beds, a dining table with high bar stools, and a very large bathroom. Getting in with a code was easy. We were also grateful to park our scooters behind the house.

The review text is garbled and doesn't provide clear, usable details about the stay.

We found the accommodation clean, and the owners gave us plenty of privacy. It has the essentials. The one minor issue if you plan to cook is that the kitchen is right beside the bed, though airing the rooms helps. Otherwise, all was fine.
