The place otherwise had great conditions, and the landlady refunded us for the two nights we canceled. We were meant to stay three nights, but the dirtiness made us decide to leave after the first. I’d read the other reviews and was a bit wary, but went ahead. I can confirm the house wasn’t properly cleaned: dusty stairs covered in hair, and under the table you could see plastic from sliced cheese packaging. When I lay down, I noticed cobwebs on the ceiling and wooden beams. We even washed the dishes before using them because they were so dirty. The beds weren’t made either, so we had to make them ourselves. We told the landlady, who said the house is cleaned whenever guests leave. The cleaning seemed very rushed.

We had a lovely stay and hope to come back. The apartment is right in the heart of old Colmar, with a view of the church and its stork’s nest. The owner was accommodating and let us drop off our luggage in the late morning, although we weren’t due to get the keys until 3 pm. It’s functional and well equipped, including a large kitchen. The apartment was reasonably clean, though not spotless. The bathrooms were clean, which matters most to us.

A comfortable, pleasant place for four, with one bathroom. Towels and a hairdryer are provided, the beds are made, and the temperature was just right. The kitchen is available to use too. It’s on the fourth floor with no elevator, but we liked staying in a typical Alsatian apartment with a wooden spiral staircase. The location is right in the center, only steps from the cathedral square. I’m sure I’ll return to Colmar, and I’d stay here again.

We only wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment is charming, elegant, and very functional, with room for four in the heart of old Colmar. Nearby you’ll find the Casino supermarket, a pharmacy, tobacconist, parking, and plenty of restaurants. The free shuttle stop is 100 meters away. Very nice service, thanks again.
