Grand Hotel Bristol By Stay Collection

The bathroom had space for three people, and the toilet was in a separate room. Our room was a good size, and breakfast was varied and tasty. It's a quaint hotel near the train station. Google Maps placed it in the old town, so we walked for 30 minutes with our bags before realizing that was wrong. Once we corrected that, we found the old town was about 20 minutes away on foot without suitcases.

We could store our suitcases in the hotel's excellent lockers, even the large ones, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were in great shape, with adequate air conditioning and excellent water pressure. The hotel is especially convenient if you're arriving or leaving by train, and the free Colmar tourist shuttle to the town center stops just steps away. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

The soundproof glass and outside electric shutter worked remarkably well. We barely heard the traffic or train, even though the hotel is opposite Colmar train station, less than a two-minute walk away. The old town, Little Venice, the park and carousel, Colmar St. Martin church, and a Carrefour convenience store are all nearby and walkable. The team were welcoming and helpful during our one-night stay. The older carpeted building had a musty smell and creaky floorboards. Our room was very warm in November, and there was no fan. Luckily, we could open the windows for some fresh, cold air.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable, parking was easy, and the restaurant and brasserie were very nice. It's close to the city center too. I was disappointed that the gym, which was included and one reason I booked, didn't open until 11 am, the checkout time. They said rooms were underneath it.
