Villa Élyane

We found the old town easy to reach, and parking was great. The owner made us feel very welcome and spoke English better than we spoke French. Breakfast was plentiful and fantastic. Such a lovely place for our two-night stop while driving down to Italy.

The historic villa has been recently renovated, and it really feels like home. We got five-star hospitality and a fabulous breakfast every morning. The location is hard to beat, about a six-minute walk from the train station and ten minutes on foot to the old town.

The station is a straight, easy walk away, even with luggage, and the scenic route to the city center took about ten minutes. Florence made our stay fantastic. My friend and I had two rooms, both beautifully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. We especially loved the house itself, from the gorgeous furniture and stained glass to the fireplace in the entry lounge. It warmed us after days exploring the Christmas markets and left a pleasant aroma through the house. Breakfast had so many choices: cheeses and meats, fresh fruit, jams and spreads, cereal, yogurt, and delicious fresh bread and pastries. Thanks, Florence!

Florence is super friendly and helpful, and the historic house has nicely decorated rooms. There’s free parking, and it’s an easy walk to Colmar center. We’ve stayed here twice now and will definitely be back. There’s plenty to do at Villa Elyane too: a small spa with a sauna, relaxation area and shower, a kids’ activity room, a little cinema with cinema seats, a piano for practice or just for fun, and a pool table. There’s also a pick-and-pay fridge with drinks. Colmar is lovely any time, but its six different Christmas markets make December especially good for a visit. Villa Elyane makes the trip even better 🙂
