The hosts are lovely, and the rooms are clean with a striking medieval look. The photos really don't do the place justice. A chance to get to know the real France.

There’s so much charm here. The apartments are comfortable, and the estate has a fascinating history. It’s a beautiful place.

A peaceful, beautiful spot for a family get-together, with the lovely scenery of the area to enjoy.

The old Roman road from Rennes to Carhaix crosses the courtyard, and the castle walls date back to the 15th or 16th century. It’s a private estate. The Manor of Le Mur, as it stands today, is from the 20th century. The Le Mur family held the former seigneury in the 15th century; Bernard du Mur, Lord of the manor, lived there in the early 18th century. By the late 19th century, it belonged to Anger de Kernisan.
