I ended up scrambling for a room elsewhere at the last minute. Although I’d booked ahead through Orbitz, I couldn’t get into the hotel or reach anyone by phone or at the door.

The hosts were so welcoming, and we had a lovely room. Their English was limited, but a bit of Franglais did the trick :-) Breakfast was excellent too.

Sophie and David made us feel genuinely welcome during our one-night stay, and Sophie served a generous, delicious breakfast featuring local food. The place itself felt like stepping back several centuries, with unexpected details that made the visit feel almost magical. We’ll certainly come back next time we’re in Normandy.

It’s such a pleasant place to spend time. The living room has a fireplace, the hosts are incredibly kind, and breakfast comes with fresh local products. The building itself has been renovated with wonderful taste.
