Les Védières

We’d come back! We were a group of 14 adults and got to enjoy the pool over an excellent weekend. I’m used to large holiday rentals, and had no complaints about the kitchen equipment, TV, Wi-Fi, or board games. The negative comments from others don’t reflect the quality or welcome here, at least not anymore. I think the owner takes requests into account and tries to improve things and keep guests happy. For us, the two things that could be better are the creaky staircase and the pool’s air-heating system.

The boss was charming on the phone, and the woman who welcomed us was just as lovely. Breakfast was good, though the coffee was much too strong for me. That’s a matter of taste, of course. The decor felt a bit old-fashioned, nothing special, and my bed was broken. With my back pain, it felt like sleeping in a bowl.

The garden is beautiful, tucked away in nature, and there’s a lovely pool. The rooms and the food were both average. It’s hard to judge the value for money during Grand Prix season, when prices skyrocket at La Ronde, 60 km away. Le Mans is a bit of a drive, but manageable, and the road is good.

The standout for me was the superb swimming pool, deep and very clean. The facilities were clean and comfortable too, and Mr. Philippe was a very friendly host. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Excellent experience here, well done. I’d highly recommend it to anyone passing through the Loir-et-Cher region.
