Camping A La Ferme De Cornaton

We ended up staying almost a week and had a fantastic time. The owners were so welcoming: the lady gave us lettuce from her garden and kept checking that everything was all right. It’s a farm campsite, so you’re out in the fields, though you can bike to a supermarket. The showers and toilets are basic but clean. We came because there wasn’t another campsite closer to Bourg en Bresse, and this turned out to be a hidden gem. Thanks again Gregory and Suzanna.

We were glad there was gravel on our pitch, and the woman who spoke only French managed to help us with Google Translate. It worked for an overnight stop, but there wasn’t much around, and in the rain and winter there was nothing to do. The sanitary facilities were very old, and I didn’t want to shower there.

The mobile home looks beautiful when they show it to you, but the reality is a completely different story. They still have the nerve to rent it for €600. Very disappointing, and I agree with several other reviews.

What a farce. She signs up on all these platforms, then can’t even find our reservation and has the nerve to demand cash. We had to show her in the app that the night was already paid for. There’s video surveillance at the site, which naturally isn’t mentioned. The bathrooms are basic, and cleaning clearly isn’t a priority. Go see for yourself ;-)
