La Farnesine

The room is spacious, the bed is good, and there’s a small pool. The accommodation could use a few more things, though, as it isn’t especially well equipped. The hostess was friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet spot above Contes, just beyond the center. Restaurants and shops are within walking distance, as is the fun two-stage cable car up to the old village, church, and fountain.

Villa Farnésine has a lovely pool looking out over the mountains, plus large terraced gardens that are great for a wander. There’s parking in the courtyard at the top of the driveway. We stayed in the magnificent double room on the ground floor, and it was very pleasant. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the breakfasts were delicious. There’s plenty to see and lots of hiking routes nearby. Blandine can suggest outings. We went to Eze, Saint-Agnès, Menton, the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Antibes capes, Eze, and Old Nice. I’d happily recommend this place.

We had a lovely family stay in August, with a family room that suited us very well. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with a different specialty each day. We also booked the table d'hôte offered by the owners and had an excellent evening. The welcome was simply perfect. Thanks again, and see you soon from the Bogaert family.

A very peaceful setting and impeccably clean. We were welcomed so well, and breakfast was top-notch. I highly recommend it.
