The refuge is beautifully placed for mountain walking routes, and the views of Mont Blanc are amazing. We found the service quite rude and didn’t like the staff, but I’d still recommend the refuge.

The view was the only great part. We got a menu and were seated for lunch, then waited 30 minutes before they came back to say the kitchen was closed (?). The portions were small, and the service was poor. We paid 25 euros for a salad with some cheese that wasn’t very good. Not recommended.

I’ve been here many times for those stunning views, and the food is always first class. The service is consistently excellent, delivered by people who clearly love what they do. What’s not to like? Definitely worth a visit.

The food was excellent, and la soupe glacée is amazing. The staff were very friendly, and there’s an open view of Mont Blanc.
