The quiet neighborhood was a lovely place to come back to after a day in Paris, and it was peaceful on Saturday and Sunday. From La Défense, you can reach the heart of Paris in about 30 minutes by bus, metro, or RER, with the connections roughly a 13-minute walk from Hôtel la Régence. If you’re up for it, it’s about an hour on foot on a sunny day, with a view of the Eiffel tower along the way. We stayed one night. The room was just right for two, and both it and the bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable, and we had towels, soap, and a small tea and coffee station on the desk. There was also a TV with a range of channels and drinks available to buy for the minibar. Reception staff were warm and welcoming, and available around the clock. They let us leave our bags before check-in so we could explore Paris without them, and there were maps to take too. Thanks for the hospitality. We’d stay again, hopefully soon, and recommend it to others.

A decent place for an overnight stay, especially if you have business in the Defence area. The room isn’t very large, but it was cleaned well, and the price is good for the location.

The windows couldn’t be opened, which was the one issue. It’s a clean, quiet, nice place, with restaurants nearby, and the staff were very helpful.

There was pubic hair all over the bed and room, even though the room was supposed to be clean when we arrived. Never again. *Edit, replying to the owner:* I only posted this now because I was clearing out my photo gallery and couldn’t write the review right away. Travel and work got in the way, but seeing the photos again brought back the same disgust, and I knew I had to report it. It was disgraceful and completely disrespectful. Believe me, I don’t leave a bad review unless the experience was really, really bad. I’m usually understanding when something might be outside someone’s control, these things happen, but that night went far beyond what anyone should have to tolerate. We had a child with us, the room we’d booked wasn’t available, and we had to change the sheets ourselves. We asked for two sets of sheets and kept going up and down. We arrived at 11pm and didn’t get to bed until 2am. It was shameful, and situations like that need to be reported.
