Star Of Life

I had a lovely six-night stay. The room was comfortable and clean, with a good location and a nice view where you can see the Eiffel Tower. The only issue was that the AC didn't work.

The stay got off to a smooth start even though our train into Paris was delayed by six hours. I let Rena and Andre know, and they sent clear check-in instructions with photos. I finished the process at their office the next morning. Everyone I dealt with at Star of Life was friendly, patient, polite and helpful. Checking out was just as easy, even with our early train and 6:30 a.m. departure. Our two-bedroom unit was modern and clean. Having two and a half bathrooms made getting ready much easier, and there were two balconies with views of the Eiffel Tower and skyline. We were on the second-to-top floor, and the elevators meant we didn't have to carry luggage upstairs. The neighborhood felt clean and safe even late at night. There's a park across the street, a grocery store a block away, and La Defense train and metro station is close enough to walk to. Getting around Paris by metro was easy from there. I'd happily stay at Stars of Life again and recommend it.

The host was nice, the neighborhood felt safe, and the location was good. The place was well equipped, but the room didn't feel clean. Dust fell from the air-conditioning vent, and whenever there was a hole in the ceiling or something coming loose, it seemed they just covered it with tape. I was disappointed because the real condition was the opposite of the clean, fresh, new apartment promised on the website. The staff should pay more attention to cleaning and maintenance.
