The courtyard has easy off-road parking, and it’s a handy base for visiting The Somme and following the Poppy Trail. We stayed for seven nights and could use the kitchen to put together picnics and simple meals. Laura gave us a warm welcome. Breakfast was a treat, with fresh bread, croissants, jam, butter, cheese, cereal, yoghurt and fresh coffee. If you’re lucky, you might get eggs from the hens too. There’s a little pool, trampoline and slides for children, plus the delightful company of le petit Raffael. We’d book again.

I’ve been coming back for years, and after many stays over the last decade, I’m hoping to visit again soon. Christine always makes me feel so welcome. She’s a wonderful host who really knows how to look after people. I love breakfast here, especially her homemade yoghurt and bread.

We arrived on Friday evening to find a dirty, unemptied fridge, unwashed dishes and a broken outdoor table, among other things. We raised these issues, and she didn’t take the remarks well, though we felt they were justified. Then, while we were eating, we were told to leave straight away. We’re six retirees and were respectful of the place. We weren’t aggressive, just disappointed to have to clean after such a long journey. The dog was used as an excuse to make us leave the accommodation. I can’t understand the five-star rating, though I suppose it helps that Google doesn’t offer zero stars. Hats off to the family posting good reviews, but I really wouldn’t recommend this place. Move along.

I was here on a work trip and had a great stay. The room was really comfortable, there’s a kitchenette, and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommended, fantastic!
