Madame Poisson made us feel at home from the moment my friend and I arrived. She showed us around, made sure we had what we needed, and at breakfast had everything set out, including breads, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, fruit and hot coffee. She had that mother-hen way of checking we were happy and didn’t need anything. When we were figuring out dinner on our first night, she suggested a nearby place with delicious food, especially the duck, and even called to book a table for us. Our room was spacious and looked out at the local church. We had a rental car and drove to Omaha beach one day and Bayeux another. I highly recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

Anne-Marie made our three nights at the Manoir memorable. She was a gracious host and keen to tell us about the manoir’s history and the surrounding area. My friend and I had a fantastic stay.

Anne-Marie was such a sweetheart, and her breakfast each morning was something else. She even sent us off with a jar of delicious marmalade. Merci beaucoup Anne-Marie! We loved staying at Manoir de Crépon, a large country house with lovely decor and charming details. It was easy to unwind in the garden or spacious living room, and the location worked perfectly for visiting beaches, museums and picturesque villages.

We only arrived yesterday, but Anne-Marie gave us a warm welcome and insisted on carrying my big bag upstairs. Looking forward to breakfast. I’ll add photos later.

We chose this place for its position between Bayeaux and the Normandy beaches, and stayed three nights. Mme welcomed us into her home so warmly. Our room was enormous, with high ceilings and long windows. Boy had a separate room down a tiny corridor, which meant we could stay up chatting while he had his own space. Breakfast was served family style and was amazing. Each group got a basket of croissants and a baguette, alongside Mme’s homemade jams: cherry, marmalade, apricot, plum and melon, plus honey and Nutella. There were also little chocolate muffins on some days, juicy melon, big blackberries, strawberries with mint and melon, and the extras changed daily. Cheese, fresh whole fruit like peaches, apricots and apples, and cereal rounded it out. LOVED IT!!!
