We were there in late september, after the tourist season, and it was pleasantly quiet. The hotel is clean, the staff were respectful and extremely caring, and we got a room upgrade for our honeymoon. Room 12 was large, with lots of windows, a cute balcony, and views of both the street and sea. Breakfast costs 20€/ person, a little pricey perhaps, but it was good and the terrace view was nice. Since it was low season, they gave us a parking spot right out front. It's in a perfect part of Ile Rousse, and we'd stay again and recommend it.

We spent about 1,5 weeks here, and the central location made it easy to walk everywhere within minutes. The staff were very friendly, especially the woman overseeing the tasty breakfast, and room service came by twice a day to clean. But when we arrived with heavy bags, nobody helped carry them from the car to our room. Our room was next to reception, facing both the road and seafront, so it was extremely loud. We had to keep the blinds closed because people walking past could look straight in. On many mornings, loud vehicles or the train woke us at 6am, and it felt as if they were passing through the room. A nearby restaurant also played a loud song every 15 minutes late into the night, with people clapping along. They were clearly enjoying themselves, but it made sleeping difficult. The hotel's photos don't show how close the busy road is, because of the angle they're taken from. If you want to sleep whenever you like without being watched, this isn't the right hotel for you.

Perla is a genuine, unpretentious place, with friendly staff. It's a decent hotel, and the service and breakfast are better than you might expect at first glance.

The staff were friendly, and the hotel is close to the harbour, lighthouse, and city center. Just be aware there was no air conditioning in August and September 2020.
