We felt at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to a particularly warm welcome. The little house is peaceful and secluded, yet only a short walk from the village center, with lovely walks nearby. It’s been fully renovated and thoughtfully furnished for a relaxing stay, with a well-equipped kitchen, reliable Wi-Fi, TV, local cultural outing information and personal touches in the décor. A charming place to unwind.

The cottage is in a very quiet area, and its location is convenient, though we often had to drive for shopping and getting around. The owners had left plenty of brochures and local information, and the kitchen was very well equipped. The house has been recently renovated and is practical, with three beds: a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room and two single beds upstairs. There are two bathrooms, but the upstairs one has no door or curtain. Finding the place was easy once we knew the street was one-way. Mobile reception was difficult and the Wi-Fi was slow. I’d recommend it for a peaceful holiday and a chance to disconnect.

Set in the middle of a walnut grove, this tastefully decorated cottage is both lovely and practical. It’s a great base for exploring the Dordogne Valley and its attractions. There’s plenty for food lovers, including gourmet markets, as well as hiking, canoeing, swimming and fishing.

A lovely little house tucked into the hazelnut grove, just a few steps from the River of Hope. Peaceful, beautiful and comfortable.
