The €75 cleaning charge was presented as mandatory when we left, even though the website called it optional, and the cottage didn't seem clean when we arrived. I feel ripped off, and I'm really unhappy with the stay. We'd planned a weekend in a nice setting with friends, leaving our husbands and babies behind. Finding the cottage was hard because we hadn't received directions or answers to our questions beforehand. The place itself is lovely, but the jacuzzi was unusable and filthy. We found dead skin around the edge and dirt floating in the water. It was shared with another cottage, and getting to it meant walking along the street in our swimsuits. We called the owner. Someone came an hour later to clean it and switch it on, but at 25 degrees Celsius it wasn't really a jacuzzi. Two hours later, when we tried again, the dirt was back. It clearly needed a thorough clean. They said the water was changed every week, which was hard to believe. During a pandemic, that was especially absurd.

The spa has to be closed after 10:00 PM, which is awkward when the 15-person cottage is so close to a smaller cottage on the same property. A big group is bound to make some noise, and it disturbs the people next door. That said, we had a great time together. The cottage is comfortable and laid out really well, and both the spa and sauna are fantastic. Thanks.

Being charged a €75 cleaning fee when we left was a real shock. It hadn't been mentioned at all when we booked. If the fee is compulsory, it should be included in the cottage price from the start. I don't like this way of doing things, and that's why I can only give one star. We weren't welcomed or shown around when we arrived. The spa hadn't been cleaned and couldn't be used at first. It was only a little better after someone cleaned it, which was such a shame. The cottage has everything it needs to be a pleasant place, but this stay was disappointing. I had been looking forward to it.

The garden is kept in great shape, and the cottage was clean and peaceful. It has a lovely renovated old stable feel. The jacuzzi was really pleasant, and the shared sauna was nice too. A relaxing place. I highly recommend it.

We were still charged the €75 cleaning fee after doing the cleaning ourselves, so the supposedly optional fee didn't feel optional at all. A disgrace. Avoid at all costs. The jacuzzi was one of the rental's main selling points at €225, so we expected it to be in great shape. Instead, it was full of dead skin, and the fridge was dirty too. We couldn't help wondering whether the jacuzzi had ever been cleaned. The owner was also impossible to reach, whether we wanted to ask about the coffee machine, bed sizes for bringing sheets, or the exact rental address.
