The people at reception were really friendly, and there are convenience stores an easy walk away. The welcome was great, the price felt fair for what you get, and I’d stay here again.

The hotel sits right in the city center, with a view of the hot spring fountain, and the welcome was warm even though I booked at the last minute. It feels like the place is getting back on its feet. We could hear a lot from next door, including their closet work and toilet flushing, and the toilet itself was very loud. The shower leaked and the curtain wasn’t very practical. The street noise didn’t help the soundproofing either.

The rooms are roomy, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was clean. Hôtel de Jouvence is right on a pedestrian street in the city center, with no through traffic, which made it a good stop in Dax. The new owners were attentive and welcoming. The shower curtain could be better.

Breakfast was excellent, and the hotel was comfortable and good value. It’s a small place in central Dax, with a very warm welcome. The ownership changed in November 2025 and there’s an ambitious modernization program underway. Wishing them all the best for what comes next.

The spacious rooms and continental breakfast are good reasons to stay here. It’s right in the historic center of Dax, surrounded by bars and restaurants around the hot spring fountain. It worked well for my stay, whether with family or just passing through.
