Hôtel de la Côte Fleurie

The room was bright, calm and well equipped, and the staff were so warm and helpful. We had a fantastic stay. It’s a short walk to the train station, Deauville boardwalk and the water sports in Trouville. I’d definitely recommend it.

Laurent and his wife made us feel very welcome and were always helpful. When our car broke down, Laurent even drove us to Garage Hoche to help arrange its transfer to a suitable garage. His personal cider at lunchtime helped soothe the trouble. It’s a lovely family run hotel in central Deauville, with a private courtyard where you can sit, eat or read over a peaceful lunch. Highly recommend staying here to enjoy Deauville’s attractions.

The room was really nice and practical, and the hotel is lovely and central in Deauville. The staff were pleasant, but they couldn’t speak English, which was a bit unfortunate.

The rooms were clean and basic, but we couldn’t sleep properly because there’s a club or restaurant downstairs. It was impossible to get to sleep before at least 1:30. At breakfast, when we went downstairs, we were told we could have yogurt and something else, while nearby tables had cheese and everything else. We were a young couple traveling with a woman with a disability. We called several times to ask for an accessible room or at least something adapted. They assured us there’d be no problem, said there were only six stairs, and that the room was on the same level as the breakfast room. Once there, we found it was in a different building, so getting between our room and the restaurant meant climbing two sets of stairs, twelve steps in all. The woman hadn’t explained that clearly. She was rude and had no manners, and acted as if we were lying. I’ve never seen anything like it, a receptionist speaking to my girlfriend that way and refusing to admit her mistake.
